ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel to rest and unwind.

Overnight: Nairobi Serena Hotel (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 2: Safari Briefing & City Highlights

Begin your morning with a safari briefing at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the historic Karen Blixen Museum and the Giraffe Center for up-close encounters with endangered Rothschild giraffes.

Overnight: Nairobi Serena Hotel (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 3: Flight to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli National Park, set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. On arrival, enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and expansive views.

Day 4: Full Day in Amboseli

Start your day with an early morning game drive—the best time to capture Kilimanjaro in clear light. After breakfast, continue exploring Amboseli on morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 5: Flight to Nairobi & Drive to The Ark Lodge

Transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi, then drive north through the Kikuyu highlands to Aberdare Country Club for lunch. Afterward, transfer by lodge vehicle to The Ark, where you'll spend the night observing animals at the floodlit waterhole. Overnight bags only—larger luggage will remain at the Club for collection tomorrow.

Day 6: Aberdare to Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, return to Aberdare Country Club to rejoin your driver. Continue north across the Equator to Samburu National Reserve, known for its striking volcanic landscapes and rare wildlife. Look out for Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.

Day 7: Full Day in Samburu

Spend the day enjoying morning and afternoon game drives along the Ewaso Nyiro River, where wildlife gather in the shade. The midday heat is ideal for relaxing by the pool.

Day 8: Mt. Kenya Safari Club

Drive a short distance to the legendary Mount Kenya Safari Club—once the private retreat of actor William Holden. This exclusive property sits directly on the Equator, offering a perfect blend of history, luxury, and breathtaking mountain views.

Day 9: Fly to the Masai Mara

Transfer to Nanyuki Airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. From above, enjoy spectacular aerial views of the Great Rift Valley. The Mara is an extension of the Serengeti and offers some of Africa’s best game viewing. After lunch at your lodge, head out for your first game drive.

Day 10: Full Day in the Masai Mara

Explore the rolling savannahs of the Mara on morning and afternoon game drives. Wildlife sightings may include Cape buffalo, rhinos, wildebeests, zebras, elephants, lions, cheetahs, and more.

Day 11: More Game Drives & Optional Experiences

Enjoy a full day in the Mara with additional game drives. Optional activities include a hot air balloon safari or fishing excursion at Lake Victoria (available by advance request).

Day 12: Return to Nairobi & Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy free time for shopping or sightseeing. Later in the evening, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
